Where to Eat in Madrid: Part 2

I somehow only have just over two months left in Madrid, it's really snuck up on me, I tell ya.

And the thing I'm most worried about? Leaving before I've eaten at every place on my 'Where To Eat in Madrid' bucket list. Yes that is an actual thing I have made, #priorities.

I mean, it's difficult, you want to go back to the good places AND try all the new places. This year abroad stuff is really tough.

So here is Part 2 of the highly acclaimed series, I know you've all been waiting with bated breath.

If you want...PIZZA

Name: Ôven
Where?: Calle de Fuencarral, Calle Gran Vía,
My favourite: Pizza De La Huerta

Pizza Pizza Pizza. The tagline of this place is 'Mozzarella Bar'. Need I say more? But for reals, this is definitely the best pizza I've had while being in Madrid, maybe even EVER - serious allegations being made here you guys. They also have an amazing selection of Mozzarella and Burrata dishes, their speciality, which all sound incredible

Mum being all smiles because, well, PIZZA.

If you want...CHURROS

Name: Chocolatería San Ginés
Where?: Pasadizo San Ginés, 5
My favourite: Chocolate con churros (obvs)

One of the things Spain is known for is 'chocolate con churros' - long, thin, warm, crispy-on-the-outside-soft-and-fluffy-on-the-inside, donut-like churros, ready to dunk into a cup of thick, rich, warm, melted chocolate (lol, soz, try not to drool on your computer keyboard). And San Ginés is one of the most famous places in Madrid to go for this sweet treat, dating back to 1894! It is an institution here in the Spanish capital and, provided the queue isn't too long, a definite stop for any visitors.

If you want...HUMMUS
Name: La Hummuseria
Where?Calle Hernán Cortés
My favourite: El Clásico

Ok so this one is pretty niche. But if you're anything like me, hummus cravings will be a very real thing in your life. So what could be better to satisfy said cravings than a freakin' Hummuseria. It's a restaurant specifically for hummus, people!! Aka THE DREAM. I realise just a bowl of hummus for dinner sounds weird, but it's so much more than that my friends. It's creamy, and warm, and delicious. There are a few variations on the menu (e.g. El Clásico, topped with chickpeas, garlic, parsley and olive oil/El Irresistible, topped with pine nuts and almonds), which are all served with warm pitta breads, yummmmm. They also do a great homemade iced tea, #sidenote.

El (aforementioned) Clásico

Go forth and eat all these delicious foods!!
